Circuit Bends
"Circuit-bending is an electronic art which implements  creative audio short-circuiting. This renegade path of electrons represents a catalytic force capable of exploding new experimental musical forms  forward at a velocity previously unknown. Anyone at all can do it; no  prior knowledge of electronics is needed. The technique is, without a  doubt, the easiest electronic audio design process in existence."
-Reed Ghazala

In other words, "circuit bending" is the art of poking around inside audio devices with the intention of causing them to emit sounds other than those for which they were originally designed.  Here are some of my pieces, be them complete, in progress, ruined or coming-soon.

Update February 07: I have decided to loosen the requirements of this section a bit. I'm now building audio circuits from scratch which isn't, in the strictest sense, "circuit bending".

Atari Punk Console
Something I found on the internet.

Casio PT-10 Keyboard
A great monophonic cheap as cheap can be keyboard that I've had since my childhood.

Bug
Toy bug that makes "bug" noises when you press its buttons.

Bass Distortion Pedal
An Arion brand bass distortion stomp box. While it bascially works, the pots are bad and its tone was never great.

Annoying Pink Gun
This toy was abandoned at my Halloween party ('03) and I hoped to turn it into a rhythm device.

"Oh my god, I killed Kenny!"
A South Park posted had a button that, when pressed, would cause one of those adorable kids to spout one of their catch phrases.

Screaming Face Thing
Originally, you're supposed to hang this thing on the wall and when someone walks by, it screams at them.

Alligator Candy Dish
This tacky candy dish snaps its jaws shut and says something stupid when you stick your hand in its mouth.

Coleman Radio
Camping radio/light source with a built in "alarm".
