In the first picture I'm just waving the breadboard in front of my camera. Hey, it works! The second picture shows the simple breadboard circuit. The PIC18F452 microcontroller is flashing each column of the image for 1 millisecond (so the entire 10 column images flashes 100 times each second). Each pin on portB controls one

of the 8 LEDs. Very straightforward.

I think I might try doubling the number of LEDs to 16 (the 18F452 provides me with plenty of control pins to do this). I'm also interested in using a bunch of transistors to control brighter lights than just a single LED (like, perhaps, a small set of LED wired together).
