New Shoes 5/30/2008 12:48 PM I haven't worn "shoes" in years and years - I've always just alternated between boots and sandals. But I've finally decided that I needed something in-between. After getting frustrated with REI's selection I went to Fast & Furless and decided on something called "Lazer-K" by Earth. (For some reason, their website refers to it as the "Logan-K" style - I wonder why the change? I'd've been more likely to buy something called "Logan-K" than "Lazer-K" if given the choice.) Anywho. I wore them all day and have not yet experienced any discomfort (except! there is an edge on the inside of the left shoe just above the heel that is irritating when I'm driving - walking or sitting it exhibits no trouble). Just thought you should know.

Yard Work 5/15/2008 6:19 PM
I managed to do a little yard work today. I started off by decimating my yard (specifically: I destroyed 10% of it) because it was totally over-run and was threatening my neighbor's yard. While cleaning it up I noticed that my house had used 1337 cubic feet of gas. Haha! And towards the end of the job a robin started hopping around me looking for snacks.

Finally 3/17/2008 8:55 PM I think I've found a place to set-up all of my non-basement music gear. It occurred to me that with a little re-arranging and the addition of a couple of stands I can turn a section of my living room into an electronic studio. I've never really had a place to put my small collection of synths and seqs, a laptop, amps & speakers and have them all being useful at the same time. I was never interested in doing this in the basement because it's not an inviting space for solo work. It's find for band practices but I never want to be down there by myself. It's too cold and dingy. The living room, however, would be ideal since I walk through it several dozen times every day. Accessibility is the first step to mastery.

Pi 3/12/2008 10:44 AM
It occurred to me this morning that I do, in fact, know all the digits of Pi.
Just not in the right order...
