All the ladder climbing coupled with the ciders and beers I drank meant that I was in no state to do any clean-up the next day. The day, after, I felt just fine. Taking the array down took less than an hour (clipping zip-ties is a lot easier than attaching them).

My array worked exactly as I designed it to and for that I'm happy. The main thing I wish I had designed better was how it fit in the space. If I had realized the ceiling was only 14' high I would have made my piece 6' high and much wider.

One good suggestion was to vary the colors of the lights; perhaps by putting transparencies over the bulbs to generate reds, oranges, greens, &c. Another good (but cost-prohibitive) idea was to use blacklight tubes.

I would also like to provide some sort of user interaction in any future projects like this. One idea would be to match display intensity to the ambient sound level. Or perhaps use ultra-sonic distance sensors to light bulbs near where people were standing (or vice versa - so that as you moved through the space you would always be in a patch of darkness).

In any case, I probably won't install this same piece again. But I may use elements of it in another project.

Mission accomplished.
